These features are designed for advanced users or those following guidance from the Rdrive support team. This guide will walk you through the simple steps to access and enable these features, ensuring you can make the most of the options available.

Understanding the BETA Feature Preview

The Feature Preview section in Rdrive is currently in BETA, which means that the features available here are still under development and testing. BETA features are made available to users to gather feedback and identify any issues before they are fully integrated into the main application. While these features can offer exciting new functionalities, they may also contain bugs, cause crashes, or behave unpredictably.
  • Access the Manage Projects Screen
    • Begin by navigating to the Manage Projects screen in your Rdrive application.
  • Open the Feature Preview Menu
    • Click on the Menu options, then go to Tools. From there, select Feature Preview.
  • Enable Experimental Features
    • In the Feature Preview section under the Admin menu, you can enable experimental features.
    • Caution: These features may cause unexpected crashes or incorrect behaviors. They are recommended only for advanced users or when advised by the Rdrive support team.
  • Select and Configure a Feature Preview
    • Choose the feature you wish to enable. For example, if you want to use the Link Field Workflow, it’s advisable to start with an Alternative 2 for a balanced approach.
